Choosing diamond bits: shape, grit and size

Choosing a diamond bit means considering shape, grit and size together. Compare 21 STALEKS models across five shape groups, with a link to each product page.

What do red, blue, green and DUO mean?

For the STALEKS diamond bits compared here, red indicates fine, blue medium and green coarse grit. The manufacturer rates the red-blue DUO version as fine to medium. Marking describes grit; shape and dimensions must also fit the task.

Ball: compare size and grit

At 3.5 and 5 mm, compare red and blue at the same diameter. Across the red balls of 2.5, 3.5, 4 and 5 mm, the diameter changes while the fine grit remains the same.
